Tenders

A major opportunity, which we emphasize to our manufacturers are government and private tenders that are generally high value / volume purchases by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka as well as private hospitals.

We also engage in taking part and supplying APIs, Excipients and Empty Hard Gelatine Capsules to all tenders called by State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation (SPMC).

Suppliers to government tenders need to satisfy all pre-qualification processes at institutions such as SPC, SPMC, MSD, and Ministry of Health in addition to mandatory registrations of products and manufacturing sites by the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).

We keep all our manufacturers updated about the history of prices of each product offered at each tender and work together on a strategy to ensure winnings at each tender that we represent our principals. We are proud of our high percentage of winnings in major government tenders.

Registrations

All Pharmaceuticals, Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics that are to be imported to Sri Lanka require registration at the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) of the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka.

All principals will be required to submit their company profiles, in compliance with (minimal) WHO - GMP standard, which will be analysed and evaluated by our regulatory team prior to submission to the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).

For pharmaceutical drugs, a product dossier accompanied by COPP will be required. For APIs, Excipients, and Empty Hard Gelatine Capsules, registration will be required at the State Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation.

At PTC Medical our distribution network is not limited to our own, as we have contractual ties with other island wide third party sub-distributors who work with us.
